Apple’s latest and greatest iPhone is coming. On Tuesday, September 12, the Steve Jobs Auditorium will be inaugurated, alongside which, the iPhone 8 is rumored to be launched. This completely depends upon the auditorium, whether it will be able to host a major event or not. So, yes! Apple’s iPhone 8 might be coming this September.
Note: Please take the leaks/speculations with a pinch of salt, as they might turn out to be untrue.
The company hasn’t sent any media invites for the launch event which generally, are sent out approximately a week before the launch. Many publications claim that alongside the inauguration of the Steve Jobs Auditorium, Apple might reveal the newest model(s) of the iPhone.
This year, Apple is expected to launch three new iPhone models namely, iPhone 7s and 7s Plus alongside the iPhone 8 on its 10th anniversary.
Apple iPhone 8 | Leaks and Expected Specifications:
With what’s on the internet right now, the iPhone 8 is said to sport a near bezel less display this time around. This will give the phone a larger screen to body ratio. The display will be a 5.8-inch OLED display with facial recognition technology. When it comes to touch ID, there are two rumors doing the rounds; one is that it will be embedded beneath the display and the other states that it will be moved to the back of the phone where the Apple logo resides. An upgraded dual camera setup is also expected.
Currently, there are a couple of rumors flowing around regarding the new Touch ID. One of which is that the Touch ID will be embedded in the display, similar to what vivo earlier showed off with their prototype of the vivo Xplay6. According to the other rumor, the Touch ID will be on the back of the phone, which is very unlikely to happen.
The iPhone 8 is also expected to have an upgraded dual rear camera setup. Also, if Apple launches the 7S and the 7S Plus, then they might make the dual rear camera setup standard on the 7S and 7S Plus too.
The phones shall come with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage with the upgraded Apple A11 chip. Also, Apple is rumored to give the 8 a glass design on the back, which might also add wireless charging to the phone.
Rumors are that the iPhone 8 will be much costlier than its predecessors, anywhere around $1000. Also, Apple might also launch a 512 GB Variant of the iPhone 8 this year.
