Lenovo has been teasing the launch of their #KillerNote Smartphone for a few days now, with more and more of teasers dropping by every other day. They’ve officially sent out Block Your Date invites for a smartphone launch on 9th August 2017. After lots of speculations, we can confirm to you that the smartphone to be launched will indeed be the K8 Note.
Considering how the “8” on the invite is designed, we can make a guess that the K8 Note will come with a dual rear camera setup like many other budget smartphones in the market. The invite includes the text “New #KillerNote” and “Uncaging 09.08.17“. Below, we have listed the possible spec-sheet of the K8 Note.
As far as the phone design and looks are concerned, we are not aware of them as of this moment. For specifications, a GeekBench benchmark screenshot which shows the device as “lenovo Lenovo K8 Note” shows a multi core score of 4844 and a single core score of 1659. It also lists the processor as the “MT 6797 @1.39 GHz”. This is the Helio X20 Deca-core processor from MediaTek. It also shows that the phone will come out of the box with Android Nougat 7.1.1. The phone might also feature 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of Internal Storage with an option to expand via Micro SD.
Although looking closely, the screenshot shows the date and time of the test to be “June 01, 2017 02:44 AM”. We might see Lenovo featuring a Snapdragon processor into the K8 Note this time around which is not very probable, but we can surely make a guess. Also, the company has skipped the K7 Note and is directly moving forward to the K8 Note from the K6 Note which was launched in September last year.
