Previously, lots of rumors came out that pointed that OnePlus will not be working on their Turbo Edition smartphone this year, that is the OnePlus 5T. However, contrary to that, we have fresh renders of the 5T here!
The OnePlus 5T is rumored to be officially launched in November this year, following the trend of the 3T launched last year. Despite the fact that the “T” variant is just an incremental upgrade, there is a big change in the 5T as suggested by the renders that have surfaced on the internet. This time around, it looks like OnePlus is not going to wait for 2018 to launch a phone with a bezel-less, 18:9 ratio display. The leaked renders of the 5T suggest that it will come with a bezel-less display.
Considering that since the company OnePlus was born, all of their phones have had a 5.5-inch 1080p display, it seems unreal that they will make this big switch of a bezel-less 6-inch display on an incremental upgrade variant of the OnePlus 5. The 5T is rumored to have a 6-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2060×1080 pixels. I wonder what they are going to upgrade except the display as the OnePlus 5 already has the highest specifications a phone can have like the Snapdragon 835 and 8 GB of RAM. The render has received a low trust score of 13 percent on Slash Leaks which indicates it could just be fake news. Rumors say that the 64 GB variant of the 5T will come for a price of $519 whereas the 128 GB variant will be priced at $579.
There are a few more things that factor in, like the following: You can no longer buy the OnePlus 5 in the US due to the insufficiency of stocks. This might or might not be hinting/teasing the launch of the OnePlus 5T. Also, coincidentally, the render was leaked when this news about the insufficiency of devices was leaked. So, take this piece of news with a pinch of salt.
